Constant Interruptions improvisation show at Clovis North High School, 2022

Below are photos and descriptions of my work in education.

For the third year in a row, I co-taught a summer school class. Our curriculum was STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) centered. My co-teacher and I taught lessons centered around creativity in an engaging, hands-on way. Our class of about 14 fourth and fifth grade students got to build science experiments, learn about important inventors, and most importantly, have fun. This photo was taken in 2023 by a photographer brought in by the school district.

During the 2021-2022 school year, I was the Improvisation Coach at Clovis North High School in Fresno, CA. During my time as the coach, I taught a team of 8 high school students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, what improv is as well as how to perform it. We played improv games and I hosted live shows where my students performed for packed audiences.

For the second year in a row, I co-taught a summer school class. Our curriculum was STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) centered. My co-teacher and I taught lessons centered around creativity in an engaging hands on way. Our class of about 15 second grade students got to build science experiments, learn about renowned artists, and most importantly, have fun. This photo was taken in 2022 by my co-teacher while I was giving direct instructions to our class.

In 2019, I worked with an after school program at John Burroughs elementary school. I had my own class of 21 fifth graders. I wrote and taught my own lesson plans along with subject related art enrichment activities. This photo shows my fifth grade group alongside a fourth grade group performing at our winter showcase. We rehearsed and performed a song for parents and other communities members and our students made their own props, pictured here.
